Welcome to the Des Moines Transportation Club.
We are a non profit social club that meets for the
purpose of getting the people that work in the
shipping industry to know each other.
Our by laws are as follows: The object of our Club
shall be to promote friendly and social relations
among its members and discuss topics relating to
traffic and transportation and promote and supervise
education and the furtherance of civic welfare.
Freight companies (providers) and Customers (users)
get to know and build relationships that will help each
other.
The networking that is done benefits the freight
companies and their customers in finding the best fit
for their company.
The board meets every first Monday of the month to
plan Club activities and review the Club finances.
We also raise money for scholarships that benefit the
children of our members. Any member's son,
daughter, or grandchild may apply for these
scholarships. (See the application process)
